Elyria Township

Small Government Web Design

The Elyria Township site was the first project completed as part of the Kendall Horton collaboration to provide a modern, user-friendly content management system to small government in Northeast Ohio.  This collaboration has resulted in the completion of 3 completed township websites, all of them using freely available and open-source content management systems.

The Elyria site in particular runs on the Joomla CMS and features an interactive calendar, real-time weather, various departmental resources and local news feeds from regional publications.

The site is maintained by township staff, all of whom received training from us as part of the design package.  One of the greatest benefits of using open source software such as Joomla for these government websites has been the ability to train staff who often have had zero experience maintaining a web site prior to working with us.

What our Client had to say:

I would like to thank you and your associates for setting up the web site for Elyria Township.  It was a pleasure working with you and your company.  Once you received the information you requested from us, our web site was completed in a very short time.

We have gotten numerous compliments by e-mail and from residents and non residents, attending our township public meetings, who have viewed the web site, and have stated how easy it is to search the site and how great it looks.  Please feel free to use Elyria Township’s web site as an example to promote your web design and internet services.

Thank you again for doing such a great job.

Thank You,

Rob Scheithauer
